Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE) is one of the best engineering colleges in Pune, established in 1999, nurtured, and managed by Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET).

Gwalior Academy of Mathematical Sciences (GAMS) was launched on 11 December 1993 at Jiwaji University Gwalior and opened its membership in January 1994. Professor V. P. Saxena, Former Vice-Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and the founder president along with researchers and faculty members of the Gwalior region played a vital role in the establishment of GAMS with the twin objectives of inculcating research interest in mathematics amongst the scholars of Gwalior region and promoting teaching and research activities in mathematical sciences. Since then it has been endeavoring towards the upliftment of mathematics by publishing news bulletins, research journals and organizing annual conferences, workshops, and seminars in interdisciplinary areas. Annual conventions of the Society have been held at various NIT's, Universities, and other reputed engineering colleges in different parts of the country. GAMS has become a highly reputed society attracting large research communities not only from India but also abroad. GAMS is the only Indian society that is a member of the world federation of societies of Bio-Mathematics. Society has gone a long way in promoting interdisciplinary research in sciences & engineering.

Pune is situated in western Maharashtra at the foothills of the Sahyadri ranges, India. It is also known as the ‘Queen of the Deccan’ and attained its high importance when it became the capital of Bhonsle Marathas in the 17th century. Being the second largest city of Maharashtra, Pune is known for its rich Maratha culture and well-established manufacturing and IT hub. Dating back to its history, the city was ruled by Rashtrkutas and very popular, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the one who built his empire from Pune. Pune was further ruled by Peshwa and British. During the struggle for independence, Pune was the center of reform and nationalism.

The population of Pune is over 3.8 million and receives an annual rainfall of around 68 cm. Marathi, Hindi, and English are the major languages spoken in this city while the popular religions are Hindu, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Sindhis, and Parsis. The average temperature of Pune is between 150 to 350 C.

Pune is the cultural capital of India and is often described as the “Oxford of the East” due to the presence of several prestigious educational institutions and research centers. The city has become a major education hub in the country.
