In Ac. Yr. 2018-19; AS&H Department successfully organized "SPECTRUM" an annual technical symposium of AS&H. This symposium was initiated in 2008 and successively 12 years we conducted it with a grand success. Due to pandemic in 2019-20 it was not conducted but in 2020-21 we conducted this event in online platform with huge number of participants.The main objective to provide a platform exclusively for AS&H engineering students to express and apply their innovative ideas and hidden talents in the competitive technological world and to develop a global perspective as well as leadership skills among FY students.

The SPECTRUM 2021 event focused on sustainable engineering solutions. Students showcased projects aimed at reducing environmental impact.

The SPECTRUM 2022 event highlighted advancements in renewable energy. Projects included innovative designs for solar and wind energy systems.

The SPECTRUM 2023 event emphasized smart technology. Students presented projects related to IoT, smart homes, and automation.

Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities (AS&H) from Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Nigdi, Pune, has successfully organized “SECTRUM 2024” on 17th Feb 2024. This technofest was initiated in 2008 and successively 16 years AS&H department conducted it with a grand success. Spectrum 2024 was a technical event EXCLUSIVELY for first year engineering students by first year engineering students of PCCOE. Just like the spectrum of light is a band of numerous colors, a SPECTRUM 2024 is also an array of events so chosen that it challenges almost all personality traits of an engineering student. This time in SPECTRUM 2024, over 1500 first year engineering students from all over the Maharashtra have participated in various activities on campus such as Brain Dasher, Chem Prastuti, Electrica, E-Paradox, High Ping, War of Words, Tech Treasure Hunt, Water Rocket and many more. The main objective of this technofest was to provide a platform exclusively for first year engineering students to express and apply their innovative ideas and hidden talents in the competitive technological world and to develop a global perspective as well as leadership skills among the students.

The event was inaugurated by the hands of Mr. Ravishankar Pingali, MD, CEO, Wruth IT India,Dr. Mohan Chaskar, Dean Science and Technology, SPPU, Pune. Dr. Nilkanth Chopade, Deputy Director, PCCOE welcomed the guests. Dr. Sanjawani Sonar, Head of Department, AS&H were present for the event. Spectrum 2024 faculty core team Dr. Sandeep Patil gave a brief introduction about the event along with Dr. Shaziya Shaikh and Dr. Amol Kharche. Students core team Ms. Varda Gachke, Ms. Ketaki Gaikawad and Mr. Atharva Desai from first year helped to complete the event successfully.
